Long Recap... or whatever comes to mind

Its been 2 months into the new year of 2009 and everyone is wondering how its gonna unfold. After the rollercoaster 2008 and slump into the dullrums, i hope that least in 2009, we can recover back slowly what we had lost in the global economy the past year.

As for me, im still in the same old job, slogging away when its time to do so and its all just to pay the bills and save up for our future flat and wedding. Getting married at the end of 2009 and sometimes i wonder if we could do away with the customary wedding and put the money saved for a greater cause or rainy day. But for the chinese old fashioned folks, i guess its a must to hold it and have no exception.

The wedding project is really a long thought out detailed work in progress. There are so many things to source, to discuss, to argue, to plan for, to seek permission for... till sometimes i wish we could skip away with all the red tape!

There will be arguments on where to hold the banquet, what studio to choose for the wedding album, which makeup artist to choose, which date to hold it on, what dress to wear, which solemniser to select... etc

Really i dint know there were so many things to do and i have not even list out 20% of the things yet!!

I suppose its really a 2 people project and the less people implicated in that, the better since there is a saying that too many cooks spoil the broth. The FFIL says 1 thing, the FMIL says another thing. Thats it!! Dunno which way to go...

I believe that the whole process is indeed relatively fun and a joyous occasion but couples should not think that they must have THE PERFECT WEDDING! because there is no such thing as a perfect wedding.

It will only make your life for the worse and ruin your wedding.

Its only one night event and as important as the wedding is, it is still only the beginning of something magical and may possibly last 50 , 60 or even 70 years if we are lucky.

Therefore we should not be too controlling and let the wedding preparations control our lives.

Instead we should just take things simple and take a step at a time.

Side track, a few days ago, my wife and me had a underwater jamming session! lol..

It means taking photographs underwater. The photographer was bryan and i think his website is bryanjeanphotography.com

It was very tiring and not as simple as everyone thinks it is. But it is definitely not the normal kind and im so excited and proud to be the rare few to ever have that kind of pictures at our wedding photo montage,

Going to turn in soon and wil; post up some pictures when we get the photographs from bryan then.

Till then again... adios amigos~
